The Laval Palliative Care Home, also known as La Maison de la Sérénité, is a non-profit end-of-life care home located along the river in Laval. It offers a warm, peaceful, and dignified environment where individuals near the end of life can receive palliative care while surrounded by their loved ones. The residence features 12 beds, each in a comfortable private room. Several shared areas are also accessible to residents and their families, including a lounge, a common room, a library, and an outdoor terrace.
Loved ones can personalize the room of their family member and even stay overnight if they wish, helping recreate a home-like atmosphere as much as possible. Professional palliative care services are provided in close collaboration with the CISSS de Laval. To learn more about admission criteria and procedures, please contact your local CLSC.

Ma mère y a passé une semaine, sa dernière semaine. Le personnel était chaleureux, à l'écoute de ses besoins et désirs. La chambre était belle et lumineuse avec vue sur la rivière. De plus, elle était équipée d'un canapé-lit pour qu'un proche puisse y dormir. Nous avons trouvé que cet endroit humanisait les derniers moments de vie. Même quand nous devions nous absenter, nous savions que notre mère était entre bonnes mains. Un grand merci au personnel!
