Scholarship

Bonjour Residences takes pride in assisting students in Quebec in their studies related to gerontology and information technology fields. We are convinced that nurturing new talent is essential for innovation and offering creative solutions to the challenges posed by Quebec's aging population.

Application period
26 avril 2024

We invite you to submit your application by April 26, 2024, at the latest. The recipient of the Bonjour Residences scholarship will be announced on May 16, 2024, via email and on our social media platforms.

Amount
500$

The scholarship, valued at $500, will also give the student the opportunity to publish the main findings of their work as an article on our Bonjour Résidences platform.

Eligibility criteria
Be registered in a master's program (with master’s thesis or essay) or doctoral (thesis) in one of the following programs: social work, nursing, sociology, geriatrics, administration, communication, and information technologies.
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Fill out the Student Form and provide the required documents before the deadline.
The research topic must correspond to one of the following two subjects, depending on the field of study:
  • Studies in social work, nursing, geriatrics, and sociology: the subject should be related to the situation of the aging population in Quebec.
  • Studies in Administration, Communication and Information Technologies: the subject should be related to the use of technologies for seniors.

Requirements

The research work must touch on the aspect of senior housing (waiting in CHSLDs, the contribution of private seniors' residences, home support, etc.)

The research should explore the potential of technologies to improve the lives of seniors and offer recommendations for developing tools tailored to their needs (maintaining independence, care automation, fall detectors, etc.).

*The form includes a section to submit your research project (in PDF format) as well as your cover letter.

The selection committee reserves the right not to award the scholarship if, among the ones received, none adequately responded to these criteria. In such a case, the scholarship will be automatically renewed for the next year.
