The number of people waiting is 3,270 across the province in february 2025. In january 2025, 3,297 people were waiting, an decrease of 27 people, or 0.84%. 59% of people waiting are at home.
Caregivers aged 15 and over represent a quarter of the population of Quebec and provide 85% of home care. The increase in waiting time only adds to the burden on already exhausted caregivers.
