The residence came into being in the spring of 1988. In 2019, the Groupe Résidences des Bâtisseurs acquired "Habitation Mgr Deschênes," and it was renamed "Résidence des Bâtisseurs Mgr Deschênes." Le seul mot qui me vient l’esprit est médiocre. Ma mère, en perte d’autonomie, a été placée à Mgr Deschenes pour une convalescence d’un mois. Elle était dans une chambre avec 3 personnes séparée d’un simple rideau, la nourriture était froide et très salée. Pas moyen d’avoir un simple Tylenol ni même un simple Band-Aid. Le téléphone est sur le sol, car le fil est trop court. Comment une personne en perte d’autonomie peut-elle prendre un téléphone sur le sol ? Je demande alors qu’on apporte le combiné sans fil, on me dit qu’elle dort, mais je sais que mon père est avec elle… La chaise d’aisance est à la tête du lit… Pour une somme de presque 5000 $ par mois, je suis outré. Finalement, après 2 semaines, elle est retournée à l’hôpital, un vrai cauchemar. Pardon maman

Mon frère demeure là et est très satisfait. Il aime surtout les activités proposés. Il y a les services nécessaires. Le personnel est sympathique.
