Katasa Groupe + Développement is a well-known company in the Outaouais region that has been active for more than 30 years. The group manages more than 7 seniors' residences in Quebec, many of which are still expanding. Its owner, Sam Chowieri, founded the company in the 1980s. His springboard was the opening of the Résidence de l'Île in 1987, one of the first residences in the Outaouais region.
In 2014, Sam and his daughters Katherine, Tanya and Samantha, decided to specialize in retirement homes. Their mission is to continue to develop and manage innovative complexes, giving retirees the chance to maintain their lifestyle and autonomy without compromise. District Aylmer
District Aylmer is a retirement complex for independant retirees inaugurated in 2017 and located on the edge of the Ottawa River, 7 minutes from downtown Ottawa and near the Aylmer sector. It has more than 205 accommodation units (3 ½, 4 ½ & 5 ½). Phase 2 will open in October 2019 and Phase 3 in the summer of 2020.
This retirement home offers all-inclusive services (electricity, heating and air conditioning, phone, Internet, cable service, weekly housekeeping, access to the Club House, etc.). You do not have to travel for essential services (health care, coaching, body care ...), everything is on site.
In addition, many amenities allow you to enjoy life in residence including: yoga room, gym at the cutting edge of technology, saltwater pool, relaxation area with fireplace, activity room, hairdresser, beauty salon, etc.
Village Riviera
The Village Riviera was inaugurated in 2007 and is located in Gatineau on a 13-acre estate with a landscaped woodland and spectacular views of the Gatineau River. This residence for independent and semi-autonomous seniors offers 401 accommodation units (including 120 care units). The residence has five phases in total.
This residence offers basic health care services, not to mention leisure; everything is accessible on site. The complex development has been thought to make you enjoy nature, thanks to its hiking trails. In addition, amenities such as home theater, indoor and outdoor pools, pharmacy, hair salon, bowling alleys, virtual golf, cooking classes, etc., are offered to residents.
Manoir Pierrefonds
Located along the banks of Rivière-des-Prairies, Manoir Pierrefonds offers its residents and visitors a breathtaking view of the water. Built in the 1980s, Manoir Pierrefonds quickly became one of the most famous seniors' residences in the region. The building was completely renovated in 2017: new floors, enlarged common areas, and new apartments. It includes 186 units in Phase I. In addition, Phase II and III are coming in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
As of the types of care, this residence offers 3 different plans: the independent lifestyle (minimum assistance), the assisted lifestyle (personalized plan of assistance services), as well as the all-inclusive lifestyle ( all services offered).
Manoir Pierrefonds offers many activities to keep you active: yoga, aqua fitness, dance, zumba and much more. To enjoy the outdoors, residents have access to facilities such as: swimming pool, courtyard, petanque and a terrace.
Résidence de l’Île
The retirement home for independant and semi-autonomous seniors Résidence de l’Île is well located, since the public transport stops next to the door. It is located near the city center of Hull, Galeries de Hull, the Casino, the clinic and the neighborhood CLSC. It has two phases, the Résidence de l’Île and the Château de l’Île for a total of 228 units. On the main floor, which is also an activity center, there is a large living room with a fireplace for those who wish to rest.
Various activities according to the events are organized. For example, movie nights, wine and cheese, BBQ, and holidays. For the school break, residents are invited to take their grandchildren to the residence. Clown, makeup, coloring books, candy bars and music await. The residence for seniors, Le Marquis de Tracy is located near the St. Lawrence River and close to several shops, including: a pharmacy, a grocery store and a bank. With more than 263 accommodation units, Le Marquis de Tracy offers two types of residences for autonomous and semi-autonomous retirees. Le Marquis de Tracy residence, which offers rooms, studios and suites, and Les Appartements du Marquis which offers studios (with or without kitchen) and apartments (1 or 2 bedrooms).
This residence offers progressive care and adapts to your needs by offering 3 types of accommodations: apartments, residence for independent resident and residence for semi-autonomous resident. This one includes a secure and coded cognitive loss unit, a physical loss unit on the ground floor, personalized care up to 3 hours a day, medication management and an emergency pull.
