It is created based on resident preferences and with the involvement of the food service chefs from each LOKIA Group facility, as well as our corporate director of food services. The Résidence Le Crystal is located on land that was first occupied in 1950 by the Fréchette family, who opened a motel there. In the 1990s, Réjean Ouellet transformed the site into the Auberge de la Grande-Baie, with 41 rooms for tourists. From 1993 to 2007, the inn was run by Jérôme Gagnon and his wife Marie-Rose Marcoux, and it achieved great success, particularly due to the La Fabuleuse show. In 2007, Patrice Coupry, a Frenchman, acquired it but had to close the inn in 2012 due to market difficulties. In 2013, Louis Côté bought the Auberge and partnered with the LOKIA Group to open a private residence for seniors, catering to intermediate resources. The residence opened its doors in July 2013 with 14 intermediate resources.
