This maison des aînés et alternative, which will be located along Pinel Street in Chicoutimi, on the land adjacent to the La Colline Residential and Long-Term Care Center, will consist of 10 living units of 12 places each. Of these spaces, 96 will be reserved for seniors and 24 others will be for adults with special needs.
This new type of accommodation will be more reminiscent of a home and will promote human contact as well as a more active lifestyle, among other things through access to landscaped outdoor spaces and indoor facilities better suited to the needs of residents and their relatives. The maison des aînés et alternative is set to open in Winter 2023.
