CHSLD de Roberval

CHSLD de Roberval, also known as Centre d’hébergement de Roberval, is a public long-term care nursing home located at 450 Rue Brassard in Roberval, Quebec. It is part of the Roberval hospital, CLSC and residential centre facility run by the CIUSSS du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. It has 100 places for non-autonomous seniors who need several hours of care each day. It also welcomes people living with a physical or intellectual disability. It should not be confused with the Maison des aînés de Roberval, a separate facility.

Located at the same site as the Roberval Hospital (Hôpital de Roberval) and the Roberval CLSC, the long-term care nursing home gives residents direct access to hospital care, the emergency department and front-line health services. On site, residents receive comprehensive care, including medication administration, help with hygiene, dressing, mobility and eating, and medical care. The team includes nurses, nursing assistants, care attendants, an occupational therapist and a massage therapist. Three chef-prepared meals a day, snacks, housekeeping, pastoral services and leisure activities round out the services.

CHSLD de Roberval sits on the shore of Lac Saint-Jean, and residents enjoy a magnificent view of the lake. The Roberval Hospital, formerly known as the Hôtel-Dieu de Roberval, was founded in 1918 by the Augustinian Sisters on the shores of the lake.
