I am a Senior. I've been studying the situation of places for elderly people for many years. I ended up staying where I am, despite several handicaps. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. The St. Moritz, which is within walking distance from my home, impressed me a great deal. In fact, I fell in love with it when I first visited, around Christmas time in 2013. It had absolutely everything I would want in such a facility. I stayed for dinner and a concert (invited) and was even more impressed with the residents I met. They all begged me to come back, so it must have been mutual. This summer, I ventured to visit the place again (2023). It was still a great experience. I was not wrong the first time. I would not hesitate to move there except, they do not allow pets. And I own a 12-year-old cat. Pure chagrin on my part. Obviously, I would never even think of disposing of my Scottish Fold. I wouldn't even broach the subject. It's a deal breaker. So, if you are like me, be warned. Otherwise, you have found yourself a real HOME. Go for it.
