The CHSLD Claude-David, located in Repentigny, is a long-term care facility for seniors experiencing a loss of autonomy who require several hours of care and support each day.
The centre is named after Dr. Claude David (1928-2014), a surgeon who played an important role in the medical history of Lanaudière. He was the first permanent surgeon at Centre hospitalier Le Gardeur, where he spent 33 years of his career caring for people in the region.
The Claude-David name reflects Dr. David’s contribution to the Repentigny and Lanaudière community. The former Centre hospitalier Le Gardeur building was renamed Centre multivocationnel Claude-David in 2008 in his honour.
