Welcome to Résidence l’Oasis

A safe, adapted, and compassionate living environment in the heart of Thetford-Mines

Résidence l’Oasis welcomes seniors experiencing moderate to severe loss of autonomy, with or without neurocognitive disorders, in a secure and human-centered setting designed for complex needs. Located near the hospital and all essential healthcare services in Thetford-Mines, our senior living offers a perfect balance of accessibility, warmth, and clinical structure.

Our building is fully secured, with keypad-controlled access that prevents unauthorized exits. This ensures the safety of residents who may wander or are at risk of elopement, while allowing them to live with dignity in a structured, reassuring, and engaging environment.

At Résidence l’Oasis, our team of qualified collaborators is present at all times to provide compassionate, consistent, and adapted support. Each collaborator is trained to work with individuals experiencing advanced loss of autonomy and complex clinical realities, including physical, cognitive, and behavioral needs.

Our directors are present on-site daily, ensuring close monitoring, proactive leadership, and a continuous commitment to service excellence.

Résidence l’Oasis stands out for its strong expertise in managing complex clinical cases, always in close partnership with professionals from the CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches. Together, we ensure rigorous clinical oversight, continuity of care and medical follow-ups and a personalized approach that respects each resident’s life story and evolving needs.

Meals and Dining

Meals at Résidence l’Oasis – Where the kitchen feels like home ----- At Résidence l’Oasis, we eat like at grandma’s… maybe even better! Three full meals are lovingly prepared each day by our on-site chefs, who draw inspiration from traditional Canadian-French home cooking. Stews, meat pies, homemade soups, comforting desserts — everything is made with care, just like in the good old days. And the smell in the hallways at mealtime? We bet it’ll bring back your fondest memories around the dinner table. Each afternoon, a fresh snack is also served — whether it’s a warm muffin, seasonal fruit or a cozy coffee moment, there’s always something to gather around. Because at L’Oasis, good food is good living — and it’s part of the everyday happiness we share, both among residents and with our team!

Founded in 1988, Résidence l’Oasis was taken over in 2024 by a new group of owners, including two nurses, in partnership with the CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches. This rescue effort ensured the continuity of care for residents with complex clinical needs. Since then, the residence has undergone a meaningful transformation: enhanced collaborator training, resident-family consultation for future projects, strengthened clinical support, and adapted safety measures. Our vision is simple but deeply rooted: the dreams and goals of older adults must guide every decision we make. Being a living environment isn’t just a slogan — it’s a way of being together.
