The Old Age Security pension is available in Canada for people aged 65 and over and you have to apply for it in some cases.
Since July 1st 2019, the Old Age Security pension has been enhanced , so you could get up to $ 607.46 / month , depending on your annual income.
It is considered as a taxableincome.
There are two types of Old Age Security pensions : full pension and partial pension;
In general, depending on your income, you may be entitled to a full pension (maximum benefit) if you have lived in Canada for at least 40 years after the age of 18.
If you live in Canada when you apply, you may receive a partial pension if you lived in Canada for at least 10 years after the age of 18.
