As 2024 comes to an end, what a journey it has been for Bonjour Résidences! This year was marked by significant advances, enriching collaborations, and an unprecedented mobilization to better meet the needs of seniors and their families. Let’s look back at the highlights of our year, filled with unforgettable projects and collective achievements.
January and February: On the Ground, Listening to Needs
Our Quebec tour continued in 2024 with Bonjour Résidences and Marie Chantale Lang, Senior Housing Specialist, presenting our free educational workshop How to Find the Right Senior Living. Launched in the fall of 2023, this unique workshop allows us to meet seniors and family caregivers in their own communities and inform them about the various senior housing options available while addressing their questions and concerns.
March: Celebrating Innovation, Recognition, and Pride
This year, we were immensely proud to be finalists in the TELUS Technological Innovation category at the 2024 Mercuriades Gala. This recognition is a testament to our efforts to innovate and transform our industry.
April: Enriching Encounters, Sharing, and Discoveries
In April, we attended the Carrefour 50+ Show at the Palais des congrès in Montreal. Many visitors at our booth seized the opportunity to learn more about senior livings and share their opinions. Information, exchanges, Marie Chantale’s conference, and raffles highlighted the event.
May: Innovation and Key Partnerships
On May 3, we participated in the First Line in health event at the Palais des congrès in Montreal. During the speech by Sonia Bélanger, Minister Responsible for Seniors, we learned about a major announcement: by 2025, CLSCs will become the single entry point for senior services, with a national aging action plan to be implemented.
May continued with the 8th edition of the Colloque pour le mieux-être des aînés at the Centre des congrès de Québec. It was a day filled with valuable exchanges with professionals dedicated to seniors and family caregivers.
June: Commitment and Local Solidarity
At the start of the month, the government unveiled its Pride in aging action plan, with 102 initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for seniors. Bonjour Résidences fully supports this plan, particularly by facilitating the transition to housing, a key focus of the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
On June 20, part of our team participated in the media launch of the Saint-Jérôme Seniors’ Fair, where we strengthened our ties with the network of professionals supporting seniors and caregivers. July: A Summer of Cohesion and Collaboration
In July, we took the time to strengthen the bonds within our team and celebrate our collective successes. A dinner cruise on the St. Lawrence River in Montreal gave us the chance to create unforgettable memories and reinforce our team spirit. A well-deserved break before we continue our projects for the rest of the year!
August: Industry Recognition for SPR
This year, Bonjour Résidences launched a new edition of the Prix Signature Award, honoring senior livings, CHSLDs, and intermediate resources (IRs) that stand out for their excellence. Since 2021, these awards have recognized the exceptional work of senior livings in Quebec, highlighting best practices and innovation in senior care. The winners will be announced in December, celebrating the dedication and commitment of those who make a difference in the lives of seniors.
September: Strengthening Regional Partnerships
We were proud partners of the first edition of the Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts Seniors’ Fair. The event began with a networking reception featuring Sister Angèle’s wine-tasting event followed by our presentation of our free workshop How to Find the Right Senior Living? on September 13. This was an invaluable opportunity to inform and support seniors and their loved ones. 
On September 6, Bonjour Résidences was present at the 7th edition of the Saint-Jérôme Seniors’ Fair, with housing specialists on site to answer public questions in real time. October: Keeping Up with the Latest Trends, Both Locally and Globally
On October 8, our development team attended the Zoholics event at the Palais des congrès in Montreal. This was an opportunity to discover innovations that will shape the future of our tools and improve the customer experience. It was an inspiring event that will allow us to continue innovating.
In mid-october, our co-founders, Sara and Philippe, represented Bonjour Résidences at the SMASH - Senior Care Summit in Las Vegas. Our commitment to innovation and the adoption of best practices in senior care continues to inspire and influence the industry, far beyond our borders. A highlight of the year for our team.
November: Celebrating the Year’s Successes Together
To celebrate the successes of the year, our team gathered at the Rivière du Chêne Vineyard for our traditional holiday dinner. With a touch of dolce vita, we savored an Italian-inspired meal. We shared moments of joy and laughter, and celebrated this wonderful year together. An unforgettable evening, full of festivities, to close out the year in style.
