CHSLD Saint-Margaret

CHSLD Saint-Margaret, also known as St. Margaret Center or Saint Margaret Residential Centre, is a public long-term care nursing home located at 50 Hillside Avenue in Westmount. Run by the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, it has 96 places for non-autonomous seniors who need several hours of care each day. Founded in 1883 by the Sisters of the Society of Saint Margaret, it has been in its current Hillside Avenue location since 1991.

Residents receive 24-hour nursing care and on-site medical visits. They also have access to pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, therapeutic recreation and social services. Each care unit has its own dining room. Three meals a day, snacks, laundry, pastoral services, a hair salon and an adapted activities program round out the services. Residents can also enjoy a lounge with a fireplace, a therapeutic bath, a contemplation room and a backyard.

CHSLD Saint-Margaret is close to Westmount Park, one of the area’s most beautiful green spaces and ideal for family walks. The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Glen site, often called the Glen hospital, is also nearby and offers convenient access to specialized hospital care.
