Jardin de la Patrie, Senior Residence in Villeray
Located in Villeray in Montréal, Jardin de la Patrie offers a living environment adapted to independent and semi-independent seniors, as well as older adults requiring more support. The residence also welcomes residents living with cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer’s disease. Its environment and services are designed to promote comfort, safety and each resident’s independence.
The residence provides a range of services to make everyday life easier, including meals and snacks, housekeeping, linen and clothing care, as well as an on-site medical clinic. Different meal plans are available to accommodate residents’ needs and daily routines.
Residents can enjoy a variety of amenities, including a terrace, garden and outdoor courtyard, as well as outdoor swings. A bathroom with a therapeutic bath is also available. An area with coded doors provides an environment adapted to residents who may be at risk of wandering.
Jardin de la Patrie also provides a range of care and assistance services, including medication distribution and administration, help with dressing and bathing, personal hygiene care, nursing care and à la carte services. These services allow support to be adapted to the needs of seniors with different levels of independence while promoting their comfort and well-being.

Étant résident depuis plusieurs années, je constate que l’administration semble manquer d'organisation. Le manque de communication et de coordination est évident. Les repas du midi et du soir sont régulièrement servis froids, ce qui est inacceptable. Certaines employées manquent parfois de professionnalisme. Il arrive notamment qu’elles discutent entre elles dans une autre langue que le français devant les résidents, ce qui est très inconfortable lorsque l’on ne comprend pas ce qui se dit. Après plusieurs années ici, je crois qu’il serait grand temps que la direction apporte de véritables changements.
