Review on Maxwell

I'm wondering if anyone else has family at the Baie-D'Urfe Maxwell and has noticed unfavourable changes since the new management took over. My father has been living there since before COVID, and both he and I have become concerned about the decline in the quality of food, lack of respect/communication from management and overall resident satisfaction. Many of the residents seem unhappy/depressed, which is worrying to see. It's truly sad to see the once welcoming, cozy, and beautiful community residence go downhill. Such a shame.
The transition to the new ownership has unfortunately had a very negative impact on the overall atmosphere of the residence. My mother lived at the Maxwell for over 7 years, and we have noticed a significant decline in the warmth, quality of food, and general services. The once delicious, healthy menu now feels much more like processed, reheated meals. To make matters worse, the price for me to join her for a meal quickly doubled from 15$ to 30$. The cozy, homey atmosphere has been completely replaced by over-the-top chandeliers and sculptures that feel very cold and uninviting. We also noticed a lot of turnover among the staff we had grown to love, and the daily small comforts that once made this place special just aren't there anymore. Fortunately, my mom was able to move out in April. I feel deeply saddened by what has happened to our once friendly and welcoming neighborhood residence.
I have been a resident at The Maxwell for nearly 11 years. Eight years ago, I wrote a very positive testimonial. Recently, this has been published, under my name, as an undated endorsement. However, under new management, life at The Maxwell has changed. Accordingly, I wish to state that the online testimonial published in my name no longer reflects my feelings.
