CHSLD de Blainville

The CHSLD de Blainville is a public long-term care nursing home run by the CISSS des Laurentides, which opened in February 2020. It welcomes seniors with loss of autonomy who need substantial daily care and support. Spread over three floors, it can house 104 residents in 100 private rooms, 3 of them adapted for bariatric clients, and 2 double rooms. Along with regular long-term care beds, it offers palliative care beds and a protected unit. It should not be confused with the CHSLD Michèle-Bohec, a neighbouring facility on the same boulevard.

The home is organized into small living units of 8 to 12 places, adapted to each resident’s condition. Each one has its own dining room, living room and adapted bathroom and shower room. Wheelchair-accessible terraces, furnished with tables, a fireplace, a barbecue and a swing, open onto the garden. On upper floors, enclosed balconies let residents enjoy the outdoors safely. On-site care staff include nurses, a doctor, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist and a nutritionist. A pharmacy and a hair salon complete the services.

Located in Blainville, the CHSLD is close to many restaurants, shops and services. Saint-Eustache Hospital, part of the CISSS des Laurentides, is one of the hospitals serving the area. For time in nature, the Parc du Domaine Vert, on the border of Blainville and Mirabel, offers wooded trails enjoyed by visiting families.
