CHSLD de Richmond is a public long-term care nursing home located at 980 Rue McGauran in Richmond, in the Val-Saint-François RCM of the Estrie region. Run by the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS, it has 56 places for non-autonomous seniors who need several hours of care each day. It also welcomes people living with a physical or intellectual disability, as well as people in convalescence.
CHSLD de Richmond is close to the CLSC de Richmond, located on Rue Barlow. Residents and their families therefore have access to local health services, including nursing care, blood tests, home support and medical consultations. On site, residents receive comprehensive care, including medication management and administration, help with hygiene, dressing and mobility, and medical visits. The team includes nurses, nursing assistants, care attendants, a dietitian and an occupational therapist.
The long-term care nursing home is also near the St. Francis River (rivière Saint-François), which runs through Richmond and offers a peaceful setting that families appreciate during their visits. Residents enjoy a lounge with a fireplace, outdoor swings, pastoral services and an adapted activities program. La résidence est bien, mais surtout, les infirmiers et infirmières sont d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Les services et l'accompagnement que nous avons reçus à la fin de vie de ma mère ont été à la hauteur. Elle a toujours eu de bons soins. Merci à cette formidable équipe.
