Résidence Boiscastel: Seniors Residence in Coaticook, Estrie
Résidence Boiscastel is a private seniors’ residence (RPA) located at 399 Rue Court, in the heart of Coaticook, in Quebec’s Estrie region. Open since 1997, it welcomes independent seniors and those with a loss of autonomy in a peaceful setting, as well as people in convalescence or on short-term stays. It offers several types of housing, including private rooms, some with a private bathroom. In addition to its RPA units, it has places in an intermediate resource (RI).
In 2015, through an agreement with the Centre de santé et de services sociaux (CSSS) de la MRC-de-Coaticook, the residence opened a memory care unit for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other cognitive impairments. This secure floor with coded doors helps prevent wandering. Staff are on site day and night and provide medication management and administration, help with bathing, hygiene and dressing, and convalescent care. Residents also have access to an on-site medical clinic.
Three chef-prepared meals a day, housekeeping, bedding and clothing care, cable and telephone are included. An activity coordinator organizes leisure activities, and a transportation aide accompanies residents to the hospital, grocery store and pharmacy. Résidence Boiscastel is steps away from the CSSS de la MRC-de-Coaticook, making it easy to access health care. Its dynamic team offers a safe and pleasant place to live.
