Le Manoir Gilbert is located in Charny, between Avenue des Églises to the south and Highway 73 to the north. The area is a residential neighbourhood dating back about 80 years, though it also includes some newer buildings constructed on what was once the Gilbert Estate. The Manoir was formerly the property of Dr. Paul Gilbert, a physician who made significant contributions to the South Shore community and left a lasting legacy. The Charny hospital is named in his honour. Built in 1935 by a prominent figure of the time, the house was converted into a seniors’ residence in the late 1980s and has been operating as such ever since. Odette Simard, a nurse and the owner since 2003, provides 24-hour care with the help of a dedicated team that includes care attendants, a housekeeping manager, an activity coordinator, and a cook.

Your hosts invite you to enjoy an environment that combines comfort and security, in a warm, family-like atmosphere that fosters a pleasant and fulfilling community life. Welcome home!
