The Saint-Louis Inn Hotel was established in 1932. Under the leadership of its owner, Edgar Levasseur, the hotel earned its prestigious reputation. Renowned for its warm hospitality, it welcomed many distinguished guests. In 1933, Mrs. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, wife of the U.S. President, stayed at the hotel. Quebec Premier Maurice Duplessis made it his preferred hotel. In 1965, Pierre Elliott Trudeau described it as "the best hotel from the Atlantic to the Pacific." Also celebrated for its fine dining, the Saint-Louis Inn Hotel received numerous accolades from the Province of Quebec’s Tourism Institute (1972 - 3 forks; 1984 - 4 forks) and the "Where to Eat in Canada" guide (1972). A legacy that shapes the future. In 1989, the hotel was transformed into a residence for seniors, continuing its commitment to high-quality services, including delicious cuisine.
