CHSLDs are public institutions designed for individuals with significant care and assistance needs. They offer exclusively private or shared rooms. To be admitted, you must undergo an assessment by a social worker or a doctor. This evaluation determines the level of autonomy you require to live in this type of residence. Accommodation costs are calculated based on your annual income. All services are included except for cable television or the internet.
