Maison des aînés (MDA)
This alternative seniors' home will consist of 16 spaces reserved for seniors and 16 others for adults with specific needs. It will consist of three autonomous units and multiple shared community spaces. It will offer a more user-friendly organization of interior and exterior spaces and will be better adapted to the needs of users and their loved ones. The Chisasibi seniors and alternative home will welcome, in addition to users of this administrative center of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CCSSSBJ), those of Whapmagoostui and Wemindji. The work that will begin shortly should be completed by winter 2024.
