Bonjour Résidences Scholarship - Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the University Scholarship - $ 500 from Bonjour Résidences.

  1. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Be registered in a master's program (with master’s thesis or essay) or doctoral (thesis) in one of the following programs: social work, nursing, sociology, geriatrics, administration, communication and information technologies.
    • Studies in social work, nursing, geriatrics and sociology: - the subject should be related to the situation of the aging population in Quebec.
    • Studies in Administration, Communication and Information Technologies: - the subject should be related to the use of technologies for seniors.
    • Be a Canadian citizen (or permanent resident).
    • Fill out the Student Form and provide the required documents before the deadline.
  2. A scholarship of $500 will be awarded once in its entirety. The selected recipient will be required to provide:
    • The completed Student Form;
    • Proof of citizenship (a copy of the citizenship card, permanent resident card, birth certificate, passport);
    • Proof of your registration for the current year at a recognized Québec educational institution recognized in one of the programs listed above.
  3. The award of the scholarship is conditional on the receipt of the documents mentioned above. Bonjour Résidences reserves the right to refuse the candidate's request and not to hand over the scholarship if the requested information can not be verified by Bonjour Résidences, or if the candidate is not in compliance with the general conditions.
  4. Applications can be submitted up to the deadline, April 26, 2020, inclusively.
  5. The evaluation of written applications is based on the following considerations:
    • Clarity of thought and presentation of the text;
    • Relevance;
    • Prerequisites:
      • for students in social work, nursing, geriatrics and sociology: the research work must touch the aspect of seniors accommodation (waiting in CHSLD, the contribution of private residences, home care, etc.).
      • for students in administration, communications and information technologies: research must consider what technologies can bring to seniors' lives, as well as recommendations for developing tools for them (maintaining autonomy , automation of care, fall detectors, etc).
  6. All final decisions regarding the recipient of the award will be made by Bonjour Résidences. Upon submission, all information provided in the application becomes the property of Bonjour Résidences.
  7. By participating in this scholarship contest, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, as well as the decisions made by Bonjour Résidences, which will be final, conclusive and without appeal.
  8. You certify that the information contained in this application and any other information you provide to us subsequently are and will be truthful, complete and accurate. It is understood that false information provided, in this or in any attached documents, will automatically cancel your application.
  9. By submitting this scholarship application, you authorize Bonjour Résidences to submit information concerning your scholarship application. The information collected is used only for the purposes for which it was requested.
  10. You hereby authorize third parties, such as educational institutions, to disclose the information required for the scholarship to the Bonjour Résidences representatives who require this information for the purpose of administering and promoting the scholarship information. This information may include verification of candidate information.
  11. Bonjour Résidences agrees that the information collected as part of the scholarship application, including: e-mail addresses, telephone number and direct quotes made by you regarding the scholarship, will remain strictly confidential and must be used exclusively for the purpose of determining the recipient of the award, unless you have given us permission.
  12. It is the responsibility of the recipient to inquire about the tax implications of receiving a scholarship.
  13. Bonjour Résidences reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or cancel this scholarship at any time without specific notice to the applicants and without prejudice.
  14. The recipient agrees that Bonjour Résidences will publish the main results of his research on its platform, by disclosing its name, university and program.
