I was employed as a beneficiary attendant before I acquired the residence in July 2019. This purchasing process required three years of waiting and, above all, arduous work, but I succeeded. This is my passion!

Formerly a hotel, the Victoria is known by many people in the Lower St. Lawrence. Additionally, it was a place where numerous individuals celebrated their wedding receptions in the Ghedo hall, specifically reserved for this purpose. This location was visited for a reception by Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to La Pocatière in 1987. In 1993, the business took a turn into the world of RPA (Residences for Autonomous Seniors). I acquired it on July 1, 2019. Since the acquisition, I have experienced various adventures, both positive and negative, but above all, they have shown me that behind all complications, we have the strength to accomplish small miracles. Currently, my residence is completely sprayed, equipped with a camera system for security, a fenced yard, and in the spring, there will be a complete window replacement. This residence needs love, and I intend to give it enough to restore its former charm, worthy of a queen!
The Victoria Residence stands out in festivities, especially in the spirit and family atmosphere of our premises. We are delighted to make our residents smile and always bring a bit of cheerfulness to them every day. Every year, we celebrate Halloween on 4th Avenue in La Pocatière, actively participating in the community. Additionally, we organize a beautiful Christmas Eve celebration so that all our residents can have a joyful Christmas. We are here for our residents.
Since my acquisition, I have installed several services, increased visibility, and expanded our clientele. Now, we are just waiting for you!

Équipe de travail avec sens de l’humour et très proche de leur clientèle. L’ambiance est vraiment agréable. Je me suis sentie à l’aise immédiatement. Des employés qui ont toujours un sourire et qui connaissent vraiment leurs résidents. On sent vraiment la complicité entre eux. Et la propriétaire est toute jeune, très humaine, à l’écoute des résidents et des employés. J’ai vraiment senti la relation entre elle et tous les autres membres de l’équipe sans sentir sa supériorité. Elle adore ses résidents et valorise son personnel, on le ressent très bien. Très vaillante et polyvalente, car elle est également infirmière auxiliaire. C’est une très belle résidence. Bravo à toute l’équipe et à la propriétaire d’avoir enfin mis un brin d’amour dans cet établissement et de lui redonner un cachet unique. (Elle est propriétaire depuis 2019.) Avant, ce n’était pas du tout accueillant comme ce l’est maintenant. Encore bravo et surtout, elle a réussi sa relève haut la main. Sur la photo partagée ; on y trouve la propriétaire et sa fille qui n’avait pas encore 1 an. Cette dame qui fêtait alors son anniversaire de 100 ans. Elles avaient donc une différence de 100 années entre elles. Quelle bonne idée de publier cette photo dans le journal local ! On voit l’aspect familial de la résidence et l’attachement sincère de la propriétaire.
