Residence Château Pierrefonds

Welcome to Château Pierrefonds , a residence for semi-autonomous seniors in Sainte-Geneviève, in the West Island of Montreal. With a great cachet and recognized for its very family side, since 1987 the residence offers a secure and pleasant living space to all its residents.

Whether a person is losing their autonomy, suffers from Alzheimer's disease or simply looking for a haven of peace, Château Pierrefonds is the ideal place to settle.

Many rooms available:

Château Pierrefonds has 117 cozy rooms, each with its own bathroom. From the regular room to the superior room which offers even more space, there is something for all residents.

Several services are also included with all rooms. We can think of:

  • Internet connection
  • Cable TV service
  • Telephone line
  • Housekeeping
  • Bedding and clothing care
  • Etc.

For people with a greater loss of autonomy, private rooms in prosthetic units are also available on request.

Special care for people with loss of autonomy

The living spaces of Château Pierrefonds have been specially designed and fitted out to meet the needs of residents suffering from cognitive losses. A person affected by Alzheimer's disease, dementia or any other neurodegenerative disorder can thus live their life in peace and be accompanied on a daily basis.

Thanks to the prosthetic approach of the residence staff, tailor-made support is provided to residents. With this daily follow-up, which compensates for the barriers in the lives of residents, their difficulties and their level of stress are thus reduced.

The Alfred Laplante pavilion and the Oasis are two secure units with twelve rooms which therefore allow residents to be accompanied in a pleasant and safe environment.

Friendly and attentive staff

Smiling, attentive and considerate, the residence staff are trained to meet the specific needs of people with loss of autonomy.

Available 24 hours a day, every day of the week, the Château Pierrefonds team takes its mission to heart and ensures the well-being of all.

Regarding medical support:

  • Nursing staff are available every day of the week
  • And a doctor is available on site 1 day a week.

As we have said, at the Château Pierrefonds residence, we feel like family. And that is in large part thanks to the staff who make sure that we are there.

For example, take Nathalie, who has been a recreologist and director of communications at the residence for 18 years now. If residents have gotten into the habit of swinging their hips to the sound of jazz music on Friday afternoons, enjoying surprise food tasting sessions or having fun at Bingo nights, it is in large part thanks to her.

We can also think of Lise, who, as a coordinator for 21 years, is in charge of coordinating the schedules of the employees, and of setting up all the care and appointments of the residents. An equally essential position for the well-being of residents!

In this residence, you should know that the family spirit that you feel is above all thanks to a committed staff, who love their job.

Meals for all tastes

All meals are made on site and with care by the chef.

Very sensitive to the needs of residents, it offers a menu adapted to different diets and listens to special requests.

The menu changes on a monthly basis and offers a diverse selection of foods, to suit all palates.

So there really is something for everyone!

Do you need to move?

That's good, the residence offers many activities!

We challenge you to resist the urge to attend the cocktail with jazz music on Friday afternoon, not wanting to keep in shape with the walking club or not wanting to let your vocal cords go with it. the Christmas choir!

In short, you understood it. At the Château Pierrefonds residence, you never get bored!

As Nathalie (the recreologist mentioned above) says: “all staff are involved in activities at the residence”. So there is always something to do for people who want to be entertained.

A 100% safe residence, with many services

To ensure the safety of residents, employees patrol day and night and a camera surveillance system has been put in place.

But it doesn't stop there. The staff of the residence also offers:
